Sailing Cruise aboard a traditional Burmese junk boat around Koh Phangan is the best and most relaxing way to discover this beautiful island. This boat is over 20 metres long and 7 metres in width and is equipped with all the latest navigation equipment and medical aid if required.
Over 60% of Koh Phanghan island is covered by mountainous rain forest and will always keep its untamed natural character because many areas are classed as National Park by Thailand. Many of the small bays and coves have white sandy beaches not reachable from the land, only by boat.
The Junks main sun deck is 44m² and provides plenty of room for sunbathing and relaxing, as well as unobstructed views of the Gulf of Thailand. There are four air-conditioned cabins with en suite bathrooms and hot water that are available for use.
You will be collected from your hotel to Big Buddha pier in Koh Samui where we will board the boat. While you are sailing breakfast will be served as you take in the views of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan you will begin to unwind.
After the 1 hour 15 mins the first stop is Koh Ma Island in Koh Phanghan. This area is one of the best snorkeling areas in Koh Phanghan, you can enjoy the beautiful coral and multicoloured fish. Our professional guide is always at hand to assist with first-time snorkelers, and will point out the best places to see the marine life. The island of Koh Tao is better known for its excellent under water sea life, but some species like the Lion fish are only spotted here.
For those who would like to try their luck fishing, we offer new fishing rods.
The sailing cruise will continue around Koh Phangan and lunch will be served on board. We offer 4 different types of popular Thai dishes: Massaman chicken curry, green curry with pork, fish in garlic and pepper sauce, and sweet and sour shrimp. There will also be a selection of desserts and fruits.
The boat will anchor at Thong Nai Pan Bay on Koh Phangan’s east coast, and you will be transferred to a smaller boat so that you can explore the sandy, scenic double bays of Thong Nai Pan Noi and Thong Nai Pan Yai. Both beaches are the image of paradise, with softly curved white sandy bays surrounded by mountains covered in rich tropical rainforest.
After enjoying this particular beach, we will leave Koh Phangan and head back to Koh Samui. During the last leg of the journey we will pass Haad Rin beach the home of the Fullmoon party held every month. During the Fullmoon you will find between 10,000 & 80,000 revellers partying on the beach till dawn.
Fresh showers are available on board, tea or coffee and a selection of pastries.
